My dear brothers and sisters, my dear students, and my dear audience,

Today, I have not come to discuss Vedanta. I have come today to protest a brutal incident that occurred a few days ago. I am here today to convey to you that when times are turbulent, when injustice and wrongdoing are rampant all around, that is not the time to sit quietly in meditation. This is not the time to recite some verses. We must rise, we must awaken. Vedanta teaches us this. Vedanta helps us conquer the fear within our minds. If we do not rise today, if we do not protest against this injustice today, do so however you can, but protest this injustice. Vedanta, the Gita, or any other religious text does not teach us cowardice. Rise, awaken, and stand alongside the students. Today, we must protest against this injustice and wrongdoing. If we cannot do this today, if we cannot overthrow this peculiar government that continues to stand by wrongdoing day after day, our golden Bengal will no longer remain golden. So, you must step forward and protest in whatever way you can. I do not wish to protest for any fame. If I march on the streets, I will do so alone. There will be no logo of Universal Vedanta behind me. So, I urge all of you—come out, come out onto the streets.

A few days ago, I saw a very beautiful message. The student community has called upon everyone on the 27th to march to Nabanna. If by the 26th, our incapable Chief Minister does not resign, then on the 27th, the entire student community has called for each household to send one person out. Let’s march to Nabanna. This incapable Chief Minister must be deposed. Because of her, our state is in this condition today. Just look at the events of the past few years—Kamduni, Park Street, Sandeshkhali, Bogtui—in all these places, all we see are rape, violence, fights, murders, and post-poll violence. And we are to sit quietly reciting Ram's name? Chant Hari's name? Recite verses from the Gita? Recite a few verses from Vedanta? No, we cannot do these things at this time. First, we must heal our society. First, we must bring about a situation of good governance in our state so that we can do these things in the future. Otherwise, we will never be able to build a healthy society. I hope that all of you will overcome your inner fears, cast aside your cowardice, and step out on the 27th. Peacefully, you will march on the streets of Nabanna and demand the resignation of this incapable Chief Minister. I will see you all there.

Those who do not live in Kolkata or nearby, gather in your city, state, or country, and come together on the streets to support this cause. And from there, let it be known that you too will not tolerate the injustice in West Bengal, that you too want to see a healthy and prosperous golden Bengal. Thank you all.
